* May 13th, 20th, and 27th, 2012 (10AM - 3PM) at Walmart, California, MD
* June 2nd, 2012 (10AM - 3PM) at McKay's Food Store, Leonardtown, MD
* June 3rd, and 10th, 2012 (10AM - 3PM) at Walmart, California, MD
ANNOUNCEMENTS (updated 5/9/12):
- Coaches Meeting on Monday, 5/14 - 6:30 PM at DB McMillan's for all Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches.
- Krispy Kreme Donut Fund Raiser! Saturday, 6/2 at 3 locations: McKay's in Leonardtown, McKay's in Wildewood, and at Giant in California starting at 10:00 AM. We need volunteers to work the tables at these 3 locations. Please contact Becky Goddard via email at abbyjp08@yahoo.com or via phone at (301) 475-3661 to sign up!
- The Wildcats will be offering FREE football training clinics on Sundays (Dates: 4/22, 5/6, 5/20, 6/3, 6/17, and 7/1). The clinics will be at Dorsey park from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Leonardtown High School coaches and players will be in attendance to help assist the Wildcats coaches. Open to ALL football players aged 5-14. If there are any questions, or to rsvp, call Ron Brinkley at (301) 481-0560.
- We are also looking for Club sponsorships. We have multiple incentives offered to sponsors.
- Anyone interested in coaching football please contact Billy Johnson at (301) 481-0288.
- Leonardtown Wildcats are working with the Leonardtown Raiders to give the Youth of the community every opportunity to be more prepared to play at the high school level. Coach Nines and his staff have committed to assisting the Wildcats in all aspects of football.
- The Lady Widcats cheer is also planning to hold a one day cheer camp on July21st from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Location TBD. Any questions contact Dawn Huss at dawn.huss@yahoo.com.
Mission Statement
Leonardtown Wildcats Youth Sports League, Inc. is an independent, 501-c(3) organization committed to providing a quality youth sports program to children ages 5-14. We are dedicated to the instruction of football, cheerleading, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competition in a safe and respectful environment, while promoting personal responsibility and offering participants the opportunity to enjoy all that is best about youth sports.
The Wildcats are a central St Mary's county Based team. We believe in friends, family, and the community. The Leonardtown Wildcats are doing a host of things this year giving back to the community. We are doing big time events like a Car Show to raise money for "STAND UP TO CANCER" to having different events, and things during the month of October to help raise awareness to Breast Cancer. The Wildcats are not your normal youth sports club. We feel that there is more to life than sports, We feel that a strong community involvement will better both the Wildcat Family, and all the great people in Southern Maryland area.
